Conversations, we
learnt to resist
Phone calls, they
ceased to exist
How could they any
more
The glasses, they were
replaced
That little note, it
was misplaced
Lost to the pages of
some book
Questions, they were
now haunting
Last impressions,
still taunting
With lesser severity
by the day
The joy with every yes
The pain with every no
Vanish they did, one by one
Now, all that remains
Are the memories.
God forbid,
Someday that would
vanish too
